Agent-Native Business Environments
From generated pages to working business experiences: an executable reference connecting products, shipping, returns and promotions with ordinary page code, an SDK and a CLI.
A page is only part of the task
“Create a restrained launch page for UK customers, with products, a promotion, shipping and returns.” The agent must create and connect business objects while making decisions about layout, media and interaction. A polished page does not prove that its products can be ordered. A shipping policy may exist but exclude the target country.
How can an existing business system become an environment an agent can explore, compose and verify, within a limited context window and execution budget? Agent-Native Business Environments explores this question through Foundax's product and engineering experience. The same problem arises in CRM, ERP, marketing and operations software.
Put business capabilities within reach
The reference separates domain discovery, business operations and presentation:
- A domain catalog and focused contracts expose relevant entities, relationships and constraints as needed.
- An SDK and CLI let agents compose operations using ordinary code. The host validates references and revisions before writing.
- A campaign view assembles current prices, promotions, shipping, returns and media for the page.
- Ordinary HTML, CSS and JavaScript leave room for visual composition. The template explains its design intent and media choices.
- Business checks, code checks and browser inspection provide different kinds of feedback; one cannot stand in for another.
Run the system reference
Download the repository, install Node.js 22 or newer, and run npm run demo in its root directory. No third-party packages, model keys or Foundax account are required.
The scripted demo creates related products, shipping, a promotion and a campaign. It deliberately selects the wrong shipping policy, shows the failed business check, then repairs the reference. The browser page reads through the SDK; demo orders use host-calculated prices and decrement simulated inventory.
The demo is deterministic and does not call a model. To try your own coding agent, use the repository's TASK.md. The same project files, SDK and CLI support external agents, which can bring their own browser, vision and computer-use tools.
What the repository contains
You get a runnable local host, SDK, CLI, synthetic business records, editable page templates, design documentation and a task for an external coding agent. Context lifecycle and model orchestration are documented with pseudocode; the package does not include an agent loop. The local reference has no production authentication, tenant isolation, execution sandbox or real payment service. Its teaching interfaces do not reproduce Foundax's private code or production data model.
Explore the engineering choices
The design discusses progressive disclosure, business data as SDK views, template reuse, creative freedom, and the cost of verification. We welcome concrete experiments and discussions about adapting these ideas to existing software.
