With Foundax CLI on npm, you can use familiar development tools such as Claude Code and Codex to create and preview locally, then deliver brand websites that support real business operations.

Quickstart
- Open your site editor, type / in the AI input, and choose “Build with a coding agent”.
- Copy the generated prompt to a coding agent running in an empty local folder.
- Build and preview with your agent. Upload the site package, review the changes and confirm the import.

Which AI agents can I use with Foundax?
Foundax supports coding agents that can access the internet, read and write local project files, and run terminal commands, such as Codex and Claude Code. For better results, we recommend agents with Computer Use or a built-in browser, paired with a vision-capable model. They can open the site preview, inspect layouts, images and interactions, and refine the design based on what they see, completing a visual review before delivery.
Can I use my coding agent to build a custom store that accepts orders?
Yes. Foundax combines custom website design with a product catalog, cart, checkout and order management. Coding agents such as Claude Code and Codex can design around your brand and products, then import pages and business data into Foundax. You can keep editing through conversation and the visual canvas, while managing products, orders, promotions and inquiries in the dashboard.
How does my agent get the tools and context to build the store?
The public foundax npm package provides the CLI. In your Foundax site editor, choose “Build with a coding agent” and give the generated prompt to your agent. Its one-time pairing code authorizes access to your private site context; public instructions and the npm package require no dashboard login to read or download. The agent receives AGENTS.md guidance, source and SDK references, then builds, previews, checks and packs the site locally for you to review and import. The CLI requires Node.js 20 or later on macOS or Linux; Windows uses WSL.
What is needed to take real orders, and which costs should I expect?
The npm package is free to download; using Claude Code or another agent follows that provider’s pricing. Local preview simulates payments and shipping. To accept real orders, import the site into Foundax, use a plan with online sales, configure payments, shipping and tax, complete the launch checks and publish. Foundax runs the live store and its commerce services. Check the pricing page for plan allowances and prices; payment providers charge their own processing fees.
